About

Vaginally Speaking is more than a podcast

It’s a platform, a philosophy, and a movement dedicated to changing the standard of women’s healthcare, starting with pelvic health and expanding far beyond it.

Founded by Allison Germundson, Vaginally Speaking exists to bring honest, evidence-based, and deeply human conversations out of the exam room and into the world, where women and clinicians alike can finally feel seen, informed, and empowered.

Women are craving more from healthcare. Clinicians are craving more from their work.

Rewriting the Story
of Women's Bodies

Vaginally Speaking was created to meet that need, to bridge the gap between what women are experiencing and what the healthcare system has historically offered.

Through education, conversation, immersive experiences, and clinician mentorship, this platform is about rewriting the narrative around women’s bodies and redefining what high-quality, pelvic-health–centered care looks like.

What Lives Here

The Vaginally Speaking Podcast

Honest conversations about pelvic health, pregnancy, postpartum, intimacy, and the gaps in women’s healthcare, spoken plainly and without shame.

Immersive Experinces & Retreats

Including the Italy retreat, designed to help women slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and experience care and restoration in a deeply embodied way.

Intensives for Women

Focused, personalized care experiences for those ready to go deeper and receive support beyond the limits of traditional appointments.

For clinicians who want to practice differently, more sustainably, more confidently, and more aligned with their values.

Training and accreditation for clinicians ready to deliver the One Strong Woman Method and help change the standard of pelvic health care from the inside out.

Each offering is different, but the mission is the same: better care, better conversations, and better outcomes for women.

Meet Allison

I’m Allison Germundson, an occupational therapist, certified lactation counselor, educator, clinic owner, and founder of One Strong Woman Therapy.

After years of working with women who felt dismissed, rushed, or told their symptoms were “normal,” I knew the problem wasn’t a lack of effort, it was a lack of space, education, and honest conversation.

Vaginally Speaking is an extension of the work I do every day: helping women understand their bodies and helping clinicians feel confident delivering care that actually meets the moment.
This is where clinical expertise meets real-life experience—and where meaningful change becomes possible.

This space is for you if…

One last thing

Talking openly about vaginas, pelvic floors, and women’s bodies shouldn’t feel radical—but until it doesn’t, we’ll keep saying it out loud.

This is Vaginally Speaking.

And this is where the standard starts to change.
